For parents

Questions parents often ask

How do I know if my child needs to see a psychiatrist?

If your child's emotions or behavior are interfering with school, friendships, family life, or daily functioning โ€” or if you simply have concerns โ€” an evaluation can bring clarity and a plan. There's no harm in asking.

Will my child have to take medication?

Not necessarily. A thorough evaluation comes first, and treatment is tailored to your child. Many plans focus on therapy, family strategies, and support, with medication considered only when appropriate and discussed openly with you.

Can my child be seen virtually?

Yes. We offer secure telepsychiatry as well as in-person visits, with evening and weekend appointments so care fits around school and your family's schedule.

Are parents involved in care?

Absolutely. Care for children and teens is most effective when families are partners in the process, and we keep you informed and involved at every step.
